the computing revolution con't

Perhaps you take advantage of the myriad of tools that the computer provides. Love taking digital pictures (sure you do)? The computer gives you the tools to do anything you want with your photographs. You can store them, tag them for easy sorting, and print them easy enough, but if you are willing, you can go much further with your pictures. You can correct the exposure, add effects, or completely alter the composition of the photo if you wish. In my experience, the average person spends most of their non-web time at the computer looking at and manipulating their digital photos. Not only did computers change the entire photographic industry, they have forever changed how users interact with the images. The same tools available for photographic endeavors are also available for movies as well.
As an American, I take my entertainment seriously. You can be rest assured that the computing revolution has forever changed this landscape as well. Flat-screen TV’s, hi-def DVD players, videogame consoles, and MP3 players are becoming a part of everyone’s life at an incredible clip. Technology moves forward, dragging many of us along whether we like it or not. Couldn’t figure out how to set the time on a VCR? Good luck with today’s modern gadgetry! As these devices become more feature-rich, they also tend to become more complex in their use.
What about our cellphones? It isn't even appropriate to call them cellphones anymore is it? They are handheld computers! We can surf the web on them, get directions, keep in constant contact with our friends and family, listen to music and watch movies...there is little these devices can't do! Despite this caffeine-induced 4 AM prose, I intend to help steer you through this increasingly complex world.
Remember, hug a geek. They may one day save your neck. :-)
